EMDR
(Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

Sometimes, the past isn’t really the past!

In many ways, trauma is bizarre. Because when you have trauma, your past is still your present.

A clue that you have trauma: you may experience recurring memory flashes or nightmares. But you can have trauma with no memories only the symptoms.

Thank goodness trauma is treatable!

EMDR is a wonderful way to treat trauma.

When your trauma is healed, you will no longer suffer symptoms. This means you become free from emotional outbursts, rages, panics, loss of control, and other totally awful symptoms.

Trauma can also be the hidden trigger causing depression, anxiety, and a whole bunch of other painful emotional issues. These conditions usually don’tt get better until after the trauma is healed.

Being triggered is terrible!

Trauma can occur after a horrible event. But it can also happen over something subtle, like an embarrassing moment. Trauma can also be the consequence of watching someone else’s trauma. You can also have trauma with no memories at all.

The most important thing for you to know is that trauma, absolutely, can be cured!

EMDR can really help.

EMDR is connected to the REM part of sleep and helps the brain reprocess trauma. One of the wonderful things about EMDR is that it is not re-traumatizing. It is also one of the few researched techniques that has been proven effective.

A lot of people don’t know that EMDR can also be used to enhance positive things. Athletes and performers, for example, can use EMDR to improve their skill. It can also be used to train for relaxation.

It is really fun to do this.
